I also find interesting that the memories eugeo had about Kirito when they were kids just disappear when kirito left that world that time and the memories where rearrange. It seems like Kirito started at level 38, I'm not sure if they've show Eugeo's level yet, but that 38 seems very close to the 45 needed to properly wield the sword from the legend, which is kind of disappointing imo if Kirito is starting off so strong in this world Also Kirito was so dumb to tell Selka what happened to Alice, like there's probably a good reason why people who've known her for longer than a day haven't told her, I feel like that bit could have been done better if Kirito had revealed it without knowing that she didn't know, very minor gripe though, other than that, great episode! Selka looks way different in the LN and is supposed to resemble Alice more. Need I say more??? If you post a question that's already answered there, your thread will be removed.
I think he also froze because Kirito screaming his name loke he did when Alice was taken is triggering the memory. Wonderful episode and I love how they didn't censor on the sword! Official Discussion Sword Art Online: Alicization - Episode 3 Discussion Anime Only self. Please note that no English dub has been announced at this time. He dismissed the existence of goblins as something the Integrity Knights would have under wraps. That said, Alicization is basically two "sub-arcs", so it will be sort of split in half in that sense. Odd when I usually do read the manga of series that I like. Kinda sad because they complain about the quality of the story yet the moment a realistic character gets introduced they get angry at him for not acting like the cliche shounen protagonist. If you like it so far, you're gonna be hooked by the time Alicization ends. I get the feeling that the same team that made the movie worked on the anime under the umbrella of A-1 pictures. Oh and would you recommend the manga to me or the LN or even both. That's a good sign: Eugeo had again the most human reaction by being afraid of the goblins who look very scary. Yes, a lot of people did not like the "fearful" personality of the Eugeo The people who don't like his "fearful" personality are the same ones who got mad at him for not attacking the knight like an idiot when he was a child and don't consider he's a civilian who doesn't know how to fight and isn't used to face danger like Kirito. It was 23 minutes of pure exposition dumps and talking. The above will show up as: Anime Season, Episode Spoiler. But, so far I'm loving the new world and I am hungry for more. First and beginning of the second season are more or less the same quality. Maybe they are here because of the recent episode discussions. It's akin to having heard of the Loch Ness Monster or a yeti, being extinct or unlikely to be alive, and then you see that beast with your very eyes for the first time. Not just compared to previous arcs, but to high end anime in general? But, this season adapting the LN pretty well. The pilot episode was right up there in quality as "your name", maybe better The animation has a distinct similarity with the Ordinal Scale movie. Wait so if they release one episode a week that's one week shy of a year. Considering Kirito has at least as much trouble as Eugeo holding that sword we can assume Eugeo's Object control Authority is at least as high as his and both haven't shown any feats that would show them to be significantly stronger then an average 17 boy, I think you are really jumping to conclusions here and then got disappointed about those unconfirmed conclusions. How accurate is the translation and lastly would the LN be ahead of the Manga if the manga was ongoing? Because I always get concerned when episodes develop plot slowly that we may not have enough episodes in the season to have a well balanced plot arc and it may get too back-end heavy. Evesryone wants a piece of goblin action this autumn. There was the bit last episode with the town guard person, can't remember his name right now, but both him and Eugeo seemed impressed with what Kirito could do with the sword. Has anybody else noticed how incredibly amazing the animation for Alicization has been? You are confusing skill and power here. Not tagging spoilers will result in a warning, and repeat offenses will result in a ban. The Alicization arc is as long as Aincrad, Fairy Dance, Phantom Bullet, Calibur, and Mother's Rosario combined, they won't be switching to something entirely different. I know these three anime are coincidental, but it's interesting to see three anime depicting three different kinds of goblin. I'll have to check that out too. Yes from JP to EN. Well, as we could've known even a bigger franchise originated from novel or alike will usually cuts several stuff or details. Goblin Slayer is an alternate older version of Kirito whose whole life is spent in Underworld. Hopefully those tips Kirito gave Eugeo work well for him, little bit nervous though because neither of them have swords, and Kirito has never exactly thrived in bare handed combat vs Death gun 1 and then 2 irl. Maybe an Integrity Knight will finally show up and do their job like they should have awhile ago. I just thought it was funny how that situation played out worst case scenario wise from Eugeo. Hos many pages is a LN normally. Really enjoyed the episode this week, again it was more just building up the world, but it's good to see that they're putting time into that. Loving how well the writers are taking their time to develop this arc. Also Kirito was so dumb to tell Selka what happened to Alice, like there's probably a good reason why people who've known her for longer than a day haven't told her, I feel like that bit could have been done better if Kirito had revealed it without knowing that she didn't know, very minor gripe though, other than that, great episode! Man this is gonna take some time. Episode 2 - The Demon Tree. I don't think it is a past with the goblin chief, but rather reminding him of the Integrety Knight tha took Alice. Trust me, you ain't seen nothin' yet. There is a zero-tolerance policy for any and all untagged light novel spoilers posted here - violators will be banned for 7 days and repeat offenses will be banned for longer, depending on spoiler severity. Wow for some reason I never even bothered checking whether it has a manga.
If you post a question that's already answered there, your thread will be removed. Well I would assume waking up Kirito when he oversleeps is atm still Sugu's "job" so it isn't weird for him in his "wake up phase" to think it's Sugu that is standing there. It seems like Kirito started at level 38, I'm not sure if they've show Eugeo's level yet, but that 38 seems very close to the 45 needed to properly wield the sword from the legend, which is kind of disappointing imo if Kirito is starting off so strong in this world.
I just hope they don't end this arc mid way through and start another one like they did others. He was just a kid when that happened. The characters barely moved at all. All spoilers regarding events not yet shown in the anime MUST be tagged. Also wondering if Kirito seeing Sugu in Selka has any meaning. It's not clear whether the Object Control Authority number has to do with either Skill, Power, both, or maybe neither of them, yet.
Just to summarize the series goes like this: Thank you for answering my questions too. And this upcoming arc has the potential to even blow those out of the water, the action is going to be absolutely sick. For countries other than the US, check your local distributor! It's some of the best animation I have ever watched. Knowledge of the main series anime up to and including Ordinal Scale is assumed in this thread. Will the anime stay true to the LN the same way an anime stays true to the manga and do all manga have a LN? Alicization season 3 subtitled episode release. I'm not a Sword Art Online fan, but just by these three episodes, I am now. Enjoy getting to see some action being setup. Just gave me that slight second wonder if the characters in that world were gonna represent real world ones. I'm sure he's got some major ptsd from that incident. I really wanna know what happened to Kirito after the injection but it seems like that won't happen for a while. It's nice so far that none of my sort of expected things have actually happened, such as that aha moment where all the memories come back, or Kirito slicing that tree with that sword easily. I could see them taking a break somewhere in the middle. I haven't yet read the YP release: We're going to see some fighting next episode!!!!!! Pretty good episode and I can't wait to see how they get out of this predicament with the goblins especially since Kirito and Eugeo don't have any weapons and I don't think Goblin Slayer is wandering around. But it's strange you be on a sub reddit of SAO and not being a fan of the thing. Alicization as a whole is basically two sub-plots, so there's a pretty good place to split it in half if they're going to. To be fair to Eugeo, a lot of his world is just Rulid Village. To be fair, it doesn't look like he is standing there just because he is scared. Oh yeah for sure. Kirito is skilled with a sword thanks to experience so of course they are impressed. Assuming they aren't gonna stop and take a break in the middle of it. Episode 1 - Underworld. He's like the shut-in, who hears about the outside world via fairy tales.
